Chemo-mega-mix-tape (playlist)

this has been a half joke, half serious project. it sounds a bit like the car-driving mega-mixes Dom and i would listen to when driving. moving. going somewhere. loving the hell out of the songs while also …. 80’s power ballad-aware. warning. my sense of humour is, as some may have noticed, pretty black. this list is… well.. has some fairly blackly comic additions. if you find that upsetting, my mega-mix is not for you.

so far:

OUT HERE IN THE CITY. (titled because i thought the opening line to Baba O’Riley was that for years. actual years. been trying to find the song. failing. that’s why).

Alice Cooper – Poison
Mr. Mister – Broken Wings
Survivor – Eye of the Tiger
Bonnie Tyler – Total Eclipse of the Heart
Toto – Africa
Phil Collins – In the Air Tonight
Chariots of Fire theme
Kate Bush – Get out of My House
Glenn Frey – You Belong to the City
The Who – Baba O’Riley
Gerry Rafferty – Baker Street
Cyndi Lauper – Girls Just Wanna Have Fun
Europe – The Final Countdown
Duran Duran – Hungry like the Wolf
Foreigner – I Wanna Know What Love Is
Cyndi Lauper – Time After Time
Crowded House – Don’t Dream it’s Over
Phil Collins – Another Day in Paradise

end of chemo day 1, take 3. each time, i feel drunker, and more off in a magical land where everything is weird, and i can’t walk very good.

we have battle songs, we have some songs about the city, and other places that are cool, and then we have some gentle end songs, which are true experiences shared by us all. if you wanna know what love (or cytotoxic life saving chemicals) are, they’re all about time. after. time. and yet another day in paradise…..

I love your list, it reads like the play list from one of my high school dances, minus Stairway to Heaven and American Pie. I also love your scense of humor.
